July 2–6, 2025 · Oaxaca, Mexico

Please join Spencer and Richard from July 2–6, 2025 as we celebrate our wedding in Mexico.

DRESS - RESORT CASUAL.

Spencer’s Story

Spencer was born and raised in a suburb of Kansas City, MO, and always had a curiosity for both technology and the world beyond. After earning a degree in Computer Science, he moved to San Francisco, where he built a career spanning both the tech industry and the regulated goods sector. Now back in Kansas City as an associate at Lockton, he enjoys being close to family. When not working, Spencer can usually be found tending to his plants, discovering new music, or spending time with his dogs.

Richard’s Story

Richard grew up primarily in California, spending many years in San Francisco. A curious and creative soul, he spent the first half of his career designing digital experiences for organizations like NASA, Mercedes-Benz, and Boeing. Now, he channels that same passion for discovery into his work at a travel company. When not working, he is often seeking out the perfect meal, riding his bike, or planning his next adventure—always drawn to new places, great music, and good company.

Their Relationship

Richard and Spencer first crossed paths in 2012 through a mutual friend, quickly bonding over their love of music, dogs, and shared adventures. On the 4th of July, at the very same place where they first met, Spencer made the first move—and the rest is history. Over the years, they’ve traveled the world together, but it was during a recent solo trip that Richard realized just how deeply he values Spencer. In December 2024, they got engaged, and now they can’t wait to celebrate their love and begin this next chapter together!
